Floyd Weaver
DOB 12/23/1951 POB-Great Lakes Naval Training Center Married the last 36 years to Tina
Grew up in central (farm country) lower Michigan. Attended one room country school through the 7th grade. Graduated Ithaca High School 1970. Selected to attend the US Naval Academy and graduated in 1974.
Went into Naval aviation and earned Naval Aviator wings in March of 1976. Spent much of career overseas in the Western Pacific. Assigned to various carriers flying the A-3 aircraft (Whale) conducting airborne recon missions (electronic support). Commanding officer of VAQ-34, a Fleet Electronic Warfare Support Group squadron, conducting fleet training missions. Shined (read staff officer)chairs for a few years and finished career as the Officer-in-charge Fleet Information Warfare Center Detachment San Diego in 1999. 4300 flight hours.
Since retiring, worked various jobs part time and spent much time working in a local church and doing local ‘mission building projects’. Worked with the local Republican party, after arriving in Kalkaska County, and became the chair of the county in November of last year.
In the future, I intend to totally retire and spend time in Virginia Beach and San Diego where my grandchildren are being held hostage by my sons, Kris and Eric. Kris is president of the Kris Weaver real estate team in Virginia Beach and son Eric is an employee of Northrup-Grumman as a computer software engineer in San Diego. (I’m very proud of both my sons).
